I’ve sat across many parents at their kitchen table feeling their pain and listening to their hopes for their child.
Receiving a diagnosis of autism shatters a parent’s dreams. You wonder if you child will ever learn to talk, have friends, get a job, or live independently. Perhaps your child received years of ABA when they were young and he/she is now a high schooler who is struggling to keep up with their peers socially or cope with life’s pressures.
My purpose has always been the same…
to educate, guide and reassure parents that with quality and individualized services, your child can reach their fullest potential. Having years of experience in following my clients from preschool to college, I’m aware of what skills are needed at each stage of development and the transition into adulthood. As a parent myself, I understand the stresses that comes along with parenting so I provide practical tips and individualized support to improve your family’s life.
What to Expect:
During our initial phone call, we will discuss your specific needs as well as the services I offer. If we agree it’s a good fit, we can determine the appropriate frequency at that time. I work with parents who need guidance on how to best support their child (of any age) with Autism Spectrum Disorder/Aspergers/High Functioning Autism. I can teach you strategies on how to increase your child’s functional communication, improve his/her independent life skills (e.g. toilet training, feeding, sleep issues, dressing, etc.,), safety skills, social skills and awareness or just provide advice and direction based on your questions. Support with your child’s visits to the dentist, hairdresser, or doctor can also be provided.
Consultation services can be done through telehealth or in-home based on your needs and location.
Rates are $165/hour.
Insurance payments are not accepted at this time but a super bill can be provided for out-of-network reimbursement.
